District Court.

The civil and bankruptcy business of the District Court was quickly disposed of by His Honor Judge Kenny, on Wednesday last. Hapi Kpiiha and others v. R. Knox was quickly settled. In the first place there was no authority to sue attached to the plaint, while the plaint itself was imperfect, and the description of the plaintiffs’ personality insufficient. Hapi Kiniha “ and others ” His Honor held to be fatal to the proceedings, and recorded a nonsuit, at the same time stating that no blame was attachable to plaintiffs’ counsel, Mr. W. R. Robinson, who bad taken up the ease for Mr. Cuff, who was absent; and who was generally a painstaking man. The other case was a claim of £55 made by M. J. f4annon against D. Doull for labor and services rendered. After some argument, and a few rather severe remarks from His Honor, on the imperfections of the plaintiff’s case, a nonsuit was recorded with costs.

J. S. Cooper, and George Smith passed their final examinations in bankruptcy, and received their discharges.
