Pouawa Block.

Thk business of the Native Land Court yester day in this matter is most satisfactory. The Block contains 19,200 acres, to the claims of which there are 54 applicants. Of this number there were only three dissentients. After hearing the evidence of a large number of Natives, during the reception of which there was a considerable amount of excitement, one was awarded 20 acres, and the claims of the other two will be decided upon on Monday. Judge Heale has evidently decided that dispatch as well as fair and honest dealing shall mark his sitting here.
