Tuesday, Janvaey 25th, 1881. [Before M. Pkicb, Esq., R.M.] J. BATHUHBT V S. M. WILSON. Claim £8 3s for wages. The amount having been paid into Court, only just before the sitting of the Court, Mr. W. R. Robinson, Counsel for plaintiff, asked for professional fees. Judgment for amount claimed with costs, including Counsel’s fee. M. G. NASMITH V W. ADAMS. Adjourned to Friday next. w. COOPER V H. HASTINGS. Claim £2B Ils 6d. Mr. Brassey for plaintiff. No appearance of plaintiff. Judgment summons. Defendant said he had no means of paying the money. He was a bookmaker. He went to the Wairoa races but it cost him nothing to go there, or very little. He made a book on the Wairoa races, but his winnings had not been paid. He had no property. He received money from Home sometimes, but it is very uncertain. He is expecting money in February or March next, and it may be April. He proposed to pay £1 per week. Order made that the amount be paid by weekly instalments of 20s. The first payment to be made this day, or in default six weeks imprisonment.
