The Auckland Star says a very material blunder in the Counties Act appears to have escaped the vigilance of members of parliament, printers, and the host of others who have perused this Act. In clause 12, referring to the power of a County Council at its first meeting to determine that the whole of the Act shall not come into force, sub-section 1 of the Act, as printed and gazetted, says that, upon the passing of such resolution, the sections mentioned in the second schedule shall not have force. The schedule intended is doubtless the third, and not the second schedule.
