Bank Holiday.—The banksin Gisborne will be closed to-morrow, Thursday, the anniversary of the Prince of Wales’ birthday. Thanks. —Mrs Bright has requested us to return her sincere thanks to the members of the A.C. Force, who so kindly interested themselves in raising the sum of £7 4s to assist her. She has received the money iu due course. Gisborne Rowing Club. —An adjourned meeting of the Gisborne Rowing Club will take place on Friday evening next, at the Masonic Hotel. The Captain wishes to see as many members as can possibly attend. The Preservation of Health is a Duty.—God gave us our bodies to be sustained and fostered, not to be neglected and abused. Disregard of the means of preserving health, a neglect of the warnings of approaching disease, is a species of suicide.
