Sib.— Some time ago I was invited to sign a petition to the General Assembly praying that the report of Mr J. A. Wilson, Land Purchase Agent be laid on the table of the House, I believe the petition was forwarded by the chairman of the Highway Board to ourthen member Captain Read, for presentation. Can you Mr Editor kindly inform me what became of that petition.? Was receipt acknowledged by Captain Read, and was it duly presented.?—l am &c., An Up-country Settlbb. [We shall take an early opportunity of informing our correspondent on the question raised.— Ed.]
