POUT Of POVERTY BAY The Pretty Jane left Auckland yesterday afternoon at 4 o’clock; The Cyphrenes left .Auckland for San Francisco on Sunday evening, at 7 o’clock. The Pretty Jane haring arrived in Auckland, on Sunday Morning at 8 o’clock, the English mail sent hence by her would have been in good time for the mail boat. ' The Rosin a returned from th? East Coast on Friday evening last, after a successful trip. On her outward passage she called and landed mails & cargo at Tologa Bay, Tokomarn, Wai- • piro, Tupap<«a, and A wanui. The settlers, we hear.are desirous that she should continue to run ’ regularly, and will, we understand, accord her *support. If the Government subsidises her, there will, of course, be an additional inducement to p'y statedly. She proceeds tomorrow (Thursdny) afternoon for Tologa Bay, and parties wishing to attend the races there on Friday, wdl have an excellent opportunity of doing so, as the steamer returns to Gisborne 'on Friday evening.
