Gisborne, Tuesday, December 7, 1875." Before W. K. Nesbitt, Esq., R.M. SORRY V. SOBBT. This was an information’, laid by Jane Sorry against her husband, Pedro Sorres —alias Peter Sorry—for having deserted her; and claimed the protection of the Court to grant her maintenance. Mr. Wilson for the defendant, moved for an adjournment as the process was only served on his client yesterday afternoon. , Case adjourned to Tuesday the 14th December. TRIMMER V. M'EVOY. Claim £lO 19s 9d for passage money and sundries. Defendant disputed the passage money and sundry other items of cash and goods. G. Trimmer, sworn, deposed to having paid the sums claimed; that the defendant was to have 10s a week and to pay the passage money during his time of service. He had also damaged some goods. Defendant, on the contrary, swore that he was to have 15s a week, and that the damage done to the buns was no loss to the plaintiff, as he made them into Chester cakes and sold them. Judgment for plaintiff, £7 and costs.
