Db. Nesbitt has, we learn, received peremptory orders from the Government to proceed up the coast “ signature huntinghe left town for that purpose on Thusday last. Body Found.—The police received intimation yesterday that the body of William Murphy, had been found on the ocean beah yesterday, about a mile from the river. Deceased was the son of Mr. Murphy of Ormond, and one of the unfortunate youths drowned in the Turanganui river in June last. It is a poor consolation, but. his parents will be glad to see the last of his remains. N. Z. S. S. Company.—ln these days of rapid thought, expeditious travelling, and general high pressure action, it is but right that such facilities should be offered to the public as will tend alike to their advantage and the benelit of those granting them. Possibly recognising these as a necessity, the N.Z. Steam Navigation Company have issued a notice —which will be found elsewhere—that through passengers travelling in their boats, can stay at intermediate posts, and proceed on their journey by following steamer. This concession, considering the high rates, will prove a great boon, and should be followed by other companies at once.
