METEOROLOGICAL.
The southerly gales which have blown almost uninterruptedly during the past week, seem to have abated but little. Ou Sunday last the morning broke with every appearance of a clear up, but the gathering clouds towards Doon. banking up to sei ward, portended another storm, which, towards evening, and during the night amounted to a hurricane, causing some liitie damage to sundry roofs and fences. Heavy showers of rain have continued to fall, but there appeared to be a chance of a break last night.
