The Chatham Islands. — The Province of Wellington has had an important addition made to its already large area by the tacking to it of the Chatham Islands. His Excellency the Governor proclaims in a Gazette of the 12th November in pursuance of the power vested iu him by the Native Lands Act, 1873, that the said islands shall be included in and shall form part of the Wellington district.
