The members of the French Ministry (De Broglie de Cages) have tendered their resignation.
January 12. The Versailles Assembly passed a vote of confidence in the Government by a majority of fifty-eight, and the Government withdrew their resignation. SPAIN. January 12. Carthagena surrendered. The besiegers ' declined any terms but unconditional surrender. An insurrection has broken out at Barcelona. Germany refuses to recognise it. The Dutch in attacking a mosque of a Kraton tribe were repulsed with a loss of 240 killed and wounded, including 12 officers killed. Achenese arc fighting demoniacally.
