RIFLE CONTEST.
ARMED CONSTABULARY F. WAIROA VOLUNTEERS. At the challenge of the Volunteers, the portion of the Armed Constabulary stationed at Te Kapu fired a friendly match on Mouuay, Ist December. The distances were 300, 400, and 500 yards, any position. The weather was rather squally, but still a capital average was obtained. The Officer Commanding the District was present througout the firing, and evinced a decided interest in the proceedings. The following are the scores : — a. c.'s.
