POVERTY RAY PETROLEUM & KEROSINE CO. (LIMITED.)
At a meeting of the Board of Directors on Wednesday last, present: Messrs. Graham, Stubbs, M'Donald, and Greene, the following business was transacted: —
Proposed by Mr. Stubbs, and seconded by Mr. W. S. Greene, “ that an advertisement be inserted informing the public that the machinery is daily expected, and that all deposits must be paid up.” Carried.
Proposed by Mr. M'Donald, and seconded by Mr. W. S. Greene, “ that as soon as we hear of arrival of the Lady Agnes in Dunedin a general meeting of shareholders be called for the purpose of laying the state of affairs before them, and also to take into consideration the 15 per cent, royalty at present payable to promoters.” Carried. The Secretary was instructed to acknowledge receipt of Messrs. Kinross and Co’s, letter, dated 10th November, accepting their resignation as agents to the Company, and requesting them to forward an account of the Company’s liabilities to their firm, also enquiring whether they received a letter from the Secretary dated 16th September, in reference to telegraph to New York for a manager, if not, requesting them to forward the one now sent.
Mr. Hardy tendered his resignation as Secretary which was accepted, and Mr. Stubbs was appointed in his place.
