Thursday, August 7. [Before W. K. Nesbitt, Esq., R.M.] Colebrook v. Wi Paraone.—Debt £lol6s 6d. Judgment for plaintiff for amount and costs. Hirini Haereone v. Sief King.—Claim £3 damages sustained by reason of defendant destroying a pig the property of the plaintiff. The pig was seen in defendant’s possession and recognized by the ear-mark. The Bench reserved judgment to consult the provisions of the Registration of Brands Act. There were two other Native cases of horse claiming, but they possess no public interest. Friday, August 8. Resisting the Police.—Karaitiana Ruru and Eru Paraone, were brought up charged with being drunk and disorderly, and resisting the police in the execution of their duty. Constable Bettington having proved the case the prisoners were each fined 40s or imprisonment. """* ~
