DEED OF CESSION COMMISSION
Gisborne, Tuesday, sth August.
The Court was opened at 12 o’clock. Commissioners: —Judge Munro, and Judge Rogan. - Mr. Wook, the Interpreter to the Court, read the Proclamation postponing the sitting of the Commission to the sth of August, as advertized in these columns ; also the Deed of Cession, for the information of natives and others who might not have been present at the last sitting of the Court, whereupon
Judge Munro said that in consequence of Mr. Locke, representing the Government, not having arrived, and as it was essential that a Crown Agent should be present, it was thought advisable toadjoumtheCourtforthreedays. If Mr. Locke does not arrive in the meantime, it will be further adjourned until a Crown Agent does arrive.
