TO THE EDITOR OF THE STANDARD.
Sir—ln the case, Geo. Davis v. P. M'Fariane, you make me to say that the wound was about three inches long, and as if it had been done by a sharp instrument. What 1 did say was that the wound was three and u-half inchjte long, the lower part of which looked as if it hud been cut by something sharp that ip the other part the skin was torn and the flesh bruised., * ' P. M'Farlane. [The evidence was copied, in this instance, verbatim from the record of the proceedings in the Resident Magistrate’s Court. —Ed.]
