Wednesday 26th Mabch, 1873. A quorum, consisting of Mr. Johnson (Chairman) and Messrs. King and Parvpns, met for the despatch of business to-day at 11 o’clock. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. letters : From the Superintendent relative to the boundaries of the Poverty Bay sheep district. Decided to let the matter stand over till after the meeting to lie held on the 29th instant. , From Mr. Scott requesting roadway between the river and Simpson’s Opotiki road. Instructions given to the Engineer to carry it out. From Messrs. Strong and Pritchard in reference to culvert in Palmerston . street. Secretary to inform applicants that the Engineer is instructed to inspect and report on tho work. The Secretary was instructed to write to Hemi Waka ana others that the fences erected by them obstruct the road leading to the Karawa bridge, and inform them that they must move the same within a week. Tenderer'Mr.. Steel’s tender for making a dog kennel for £8 5s was accepted. Mr. Eorbe'y fotf same W<rik £22 wits rejected. Z I The Engineer’s report on outlet drain to Ormond road through Makauri block, was received and discussal, and uWruriions 'given for necessary notioes-to be sent to owners.
