AUCTION SALES. Mr. Greene’s report shows that the sale of ■ Sheep at Mr. Poynter's homestead Waeranga-a-lnka on Friday last was a remarkable success for .a small community like this, nud also t-ho ’improvement made in its circumstances during the last year or two. 'A portion of the stock has been bought by an enterprising, newly arrived settler, who, has Chartered the Columbia, schooner, for transport to Auckland. The prices realized were : Fat wethers 9s. each: store wethers 7s. eat-h: mixed lot of ewes in fair condition run out of flock 9s.'to 9s. 3d. each: culls 4s. and 9d. to ss. each: Rams 70s. to 90s. each: 1000 head of all sorts were sold. The Hull and Gear of the wreck of the cutter Margaret at Tologa Bay were sold -by auction last Saturday for £1 ss.
