CAIRO, Dec 31, News is to; hand from Soudan that Baker Pasha has captured one of the followers of El Madhi and seized ■ letters written by the rebel leader, which con tain statements leading to the belief that an advance against Egypt proper is contemplated by El Madhi. LONDON, Jan. 1. Rival meetings of Parneliites and Orangemen having been announced to beheld to-day at Drorabre, county Down, Ireland, the Executive have despatched a large force of troops, numbering a thousand men, to the scene, with the object of stopping any disturbance. The Rev. MocKowochie has resigned the vicarage of St Peter’s, London Docks, Benifico, which was recently by the Bishop of London.
