WELLINGTON, This day

Weather forecast for 24 hoars, from 9 n.m. to-day:—Wind—between northwest and south-west at all places north of Napier and New Plymouth, and between south-east and south-west at all other places. Barometer—rise at all stations. Sea—heavy on both coasts. Warnings for gales as above indicated and rain have been sent to all stations.

Synopsis of last 24 hours—Everywhere northward of Timarn the barometer has fallen from three to fivetenths, but ’from Timarn southward it has fallen only about two-tenths. There have been hard northerly gales at most of the stations on tho West Coast, and a heavy rainfall generally.
