WEDNESDAY’S CONCERT.

The pleasure of the performance of <« Pinafore” by the Harmonic Society on Wednesday evening will bn considerably enhanced by the services of Miss Sparkcs having been secured for “ Buttercup,” which part tills lady plays to perfection, having delighted the audience last year by her true conception of the character. The lady member of the Society, who was to have played the part, has generously resigned her position in favour of Miss Sparkes. Since appearing hero last year Miss Sparkes lias further studied as a [ rofessional artiste, and wc believe is now under engagement for the other colonies in that capacity. We feel sure, therefore, that the knowledge that this lady will perform will ensure a “ bumper house ” on the occasion of Pinafore being again performed. The tickets are going off rafddly.
