Weather forecast for 24 hours, from 9 a.m. to-day Wind—between northeast and north-west at all places north of Kaikonra and Hokitika and during next 12 hours from between south-west and south east at all other places, but changing to between north-east and south-east after that time* Barometer —-further fall Sat aIL places nprth of Lyttelton and Hokitika, rise within 12 hours at all other places, but falling again after that time. Sea—heavy on both coasts north of Lyttelton and Hokitika. Warnings fur gales as above indicated and for heavy rain have been sent to all stations.; Synopsis of Inst 24 hoars—There has been a further fall of the barometer everywhere, and a harsh northeasterly pale at most places from Napier and New Plymouth southward to Lyttelton and Hokitika.
