The monthly meeting of the above Board wan held on Saturday, list December. Present, Messrs Aitkenj Syrncs and lon (chairman). Minutes of previous meeting read and confirmed. Treasurer’s Balance —Gmeral Account, £l9B-Us lid ; Block VIII, £95 Us 7d ; Block IX, £ll 9s 61 ; Block 111, £6 4s 10.1 ; Block IV, Omahine, £4 17s 10J ; Block li, £3 8s 7d. The Foreman of Works handed in his report, informing the Board that Hughes had finished Wilson’s Hill contract, and also removed slips on same, A fresh in the KVdii Streaffi had considerably damaged (he, piles, of the bridge, and done considerable'harm to the bridge. lie had examined Nicholson’s Road, .Whenuakura, and found two ''springs in same which required attending to, The side cutting also required repairing. The two, Ross’s had been repairing the Okotukn Road, and doing sundry work ph various roads. Correspondence was rend From Treasury, Wellington, informing the Bonn! that Deferred payment moneys had been duly passed and voucher for warded. Public Works Office, Wellington, informing the Board that the amount applied for under Road and Bridges Construction Act for Henson’s road would be granted on receipt of necessary certificate. R. Garrett, reporting that ho bad run a trial line on Richardson’s road via Sangster’fl.. General Survey Office, informing the Board that the Motoroa road contract would bo at once .let., . , : . ‘Resolved u That the Government be communicated with . re Richardson’s Road, via Sangsler’s, in terms of Mr Garret’s letter,.-.with. « request that they should make the road in lieu of road abandoned via Lind a.” “Thai the Hold Bridge le repaired on its old site.” “Thatithe matter of Nichol-

Tenders were received : for Hearn and Kennedy’s road, T; Bourne, 2s 3d per chain; W. Seaton, £l6 16s; W. Daris, 6s Cd per chain ; for Walkinton’s road, T. Bourne, 8s 6d ; W. Davis, 10» lid. For Kohi‘ road, T. Bourne, 5a 6d ; W. Davis, 3*9 d. For Walkinlon’s side culling T. Bourne, 6s 6d. For Kohi and Karihaki, G. O’Reilly. 10s per chain. Kesolycd’ “Thai Mr Bourne’s tender for Hearn and Kennedy’s road be accepted; also Jthat Mr Davis’ tender for ploughing on Walkinlon’s road, and Mr Bourne’s for formation on Kohi road be accepted.” The following accounts were passed for Sjyment: —W. Seaton, £6 14s; J. elling, £2 2s ; J. Hughes, £9 10s. Messrs Williamson and Nicholson waited on the Board rt sundry matters. Resolved —“ That the grade pegs he placed in road through section 2, block VIII." The meeting then adjourned.
