WAIROA LIGHT HORSE.

The Wairoa Light Horse fired for District prizes on Saturday, last. The weather was, however, anything but favourable for rifle shooting, being exceedingly boisterous. The ranges were 200, 300, and 500 yards, five shots at each range. The total amount of prize money was £7, divided into five prizes, the winners being as follows : —Scrgt-Major McLean, Ist prize £2, score 49 ; Trooper W. Howie, 2nd prize £1 10s, score 44 ; Trooper F. Matheson, 3rd prize £1 7s 6d, score 44 ; Scrgt George Howie, 4th prize £1 2s 6d, score 43 ; Trooper F.. O’Neil, sth prize £l, score 41.
