THE VOLUNTEERS.
The following volunteers were successful in passing in the different stages: 3kd class. 200 yds 300 yds T1
The whole Company, with the exception of five have fired through the second and third stage. Rain fell on all the mornings except one, on which the shooting took place. Judging distance was gone into on Friday morning, but before the completion of the practice the men had to disperse owing to the heavy rain, which rendered it impossible for them to see the flags. Ser.gt. Nixon returned to New Plymouth on Saturday, so that the remainder of the exercises will have to be gone through at some future dale.
