VARIEGATED THISTLES.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Allow me to make a suggestion through the medium of your paper witli regard to what will very shortly become a perfect nuisance to Patea if. not checked. I allude to the variegated thistles, which are spreading in every direction, and which are rendering several sections perfectly useless. Is it not in the power of the Borough Council to pass some stringent measure. If every one wore made to root them up at once before they seeded, I fancy next year they might all be eradicated. A stitch in time in this case will certainly save nine.—Yours, etc, Patea Resident. Nov 19.
