In order to meet my engagements of the coming month, I will sell Boots 30 per cent, cheaper than heretofore. No gammon ; invoices on view. I ask any sensible person what advantage they will gain in buying boots from a-Storekeeper ordraper.-, Do they know anything about the quality of the Boots they sell? Decidedly no. Will they repair them if they come undone ? Why, they could not mend their own. Always buy of a man who, if the Boots he sells do not give satisfaction, will repair them for nothing. J A warning to would-be Jacks of all Trades. The original Jonas, a grocerand tea-dealer, aspired to be a Leather Kinjg. He went to Wellington to hunt for Boots, and afterwards got hunted himself, in fact, properly booted. After dabbling with leather, too, he has burned his fingers. He is trying to gull honest people with a flying visit. But, Oh ! Jonas they are not to be had. Hawera would not have it; Wanganui .would not be had ; and why think the Patea people soft? Good people, bewate of birds of passage ; keep the money in the place by encouraging local business men,-and remember those with large families that what you buy of me I repair free of cost if they don’t give satisfaction.
