CREDITORS MEETING.
A meeting of creditors in the estate of F. 11. Doneghne, was held in the Courthouse on Monday afternoon. There were present, Messrs Toplin, E. C. Horner, H. Chadwick, Potto, and Davis, the three former gentlemen being proxy for several creditors.
MrTaplin was elected chairman on the motion of Mr Potto, seconded by Mr Horner.
Following is a statement of assets and liabilities in the estate Assets.— Freehold and leasehold, Borough of Patea, with Coach Factory and four roomed cottage, subject to mortgage for L 550 and interest, LBSO ; Lease of section in Regent-street, Hawera, L 27;L e oseofsecßl 2 and 3, Block 42, Patea, L7O ; btock and plant, L2(50 ; Book debts, L4OO ; 1 urmture, L4O. Total L 1647, Liabilities. —Secured : _G s Bridge, Wrtverley, £677 10a. . Total Ll7lß. . , It was proposed by Mr Potto, ® e s? nd^ d by Mr Davis, and carried, *' That Mr H. Chadwick bo appointed trustee.” At was also resolved that the trustee’s remuneration be five per cent. . A motion, proposed by Mr Davis and seconded by Mr Potto, “ That the debtor be allowed his household furniture and effects,” was lost, and an amendment, “ That the question of allowance to the debtor stand over till the next meeting, in order that the trustee may recommend or otherwise,” proposed by the chairman, seconded by Mr Hornor, was carried. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Potto, seconded by Mr Davis, to allow the debtor the net sura of L 5 for maintenance till the next meeting.”
