In the House .of Assembly last, night the Colonial Treasurer introduced the amended scheme of taxation proposals as follows :—lmposition tax, half-ponny in £ on real property ; penny in £ on gains or profits arising from personal property; and an income tax of threepence in £ subject to certain exemptions. BRISBANE, This day.
The revenue of Queensland for the September quarter amounted to £700,000, an increase of £59,750 compared with the corresponding quarter last .year. The receipts from Customs wore increased by £IO,OOO. The railway revenue shows an increase of £20,000.
