The letters from Mr T. 0. Kelsey, re Alford Forest Diamonds are published to-day. They state that the stones were submitted to Mr Alexander of Hatton Garden, and Mr Klein, who both pronounced them genuine diamonds. Mr,Klein considered them equal to Brazilian diamonds, and offered to buy all that could be supplied but when the cutting test was applied, the Alford Forest stones would not stand, and flew to powder. Both the dealers referred to recommended sinking for the purpose of obtaining belter specimens. -
