i The ‘ ordinary monthly meeting of the above Board was hold on Saturday, September Ist. Present, Wardens Symos, Johnson, and Aiken. Mr Symes in the chair. Treasurer’s balance : General account,. £221 14s 9d ; B'ock VIII, £95 14s 7d ; Block IX, Ur, £4 13s 6d ; Block 111, Dr £ls 18s ; Block IV (Omn) Or £4 17s lOd. The Foreman of Works sent, in his report as follows; Hughes and Davis had almost; coprpleted the Motuwhero road.; ■The first part of the Motuwhero Bridge, had been completed, and the remainder would bo completed as soon as tile timber arrived, which had not yet come owing to. the bad state of the weather. Ho had' examined certain streams into which the : timber had been fallen, and he did not think much damage had been done. 1 Rolling had been removing slips on Block IX, Ross .had boon repairing Nicholson’s; road (Waitotnr.V), Howie’s road Manga » taiiga, and the Moturoa road. J. Hughes , was working at the embankment on Aiken ' and Bibdey’s road. The ironwork for; finishing the Motuwhero and Kohi bridges had been done by D; Taylor, The repairs to the Cemetery road had mot been done, b'wing to absence of labour. Correspondence was read-from; A Milne re Okotuku road ; Treasury, forwarding statement of D.P. moneys available ; also voucher for £SO, balance of grant from Motuwhero Road; W Wilson, informing the Board that certain lenders had been accepted, ami that he was unable to attend the meeting. ... The following,tenders wero aecoplcd ; Aiken and Brodcy’s Road—J Hughes, £l4. Kohi Bridge:—J Hughes,,£lß ,10s. Wilson’s Hill—J Hughes, £8 lOsi Waitotara Road—W Seaton, £ls 10s. i The following. accounts were ph&scd-'fcfr payment —H F Mason, £1,1,0s ; R Henson, £l. Is ; J Allan, 17s ; K G Ross, £7 7s 6d ; G 0 Ross, £7 7s; J Rolling, £B, 175,; J ; Hughes, £10; D Taylor, £4 14s. Mr Garrett’s account was hold ovet till next meeting. .: Messrs Nicholson and Williamson waited on the Board re snndiy mails. Resolved, I 'That the' Secretary write to (lie Commissioner of Crown Lands, applying for D.P. monies, as under : —Blocks 2 and 3, £3l 9s 9d ; Block 4, £2O 4s Gd ; Block 8, £17,3b 2d ; Block 9, £25. The meeting then adjourned.:
