At Tauranga, this morning, four cottages in Selwyn street were destroyed by fire. Insurances, £275 in Standard. Davidson’s Hotel on the Hot Lake Road was also burned on Wednesday. Insuranc £SOO in the Union, and furniture £250 in the South British. Large fire at Auckland at one o’clock this morning destroyed Belcher’s Store in Upper Queen-street. Insured for £BOO in the National. Stock and plant also covered to LIOOO. Adjoining cottages considerably damaged. Committee on Otago Dummyism cases reported to the House that charges fully proved. ■
