HOME AND FOREIGN. [REUTER—COPYRIGHT.] LONDON, August 15. In the House of Commons last night the Bankruptcy Bill was under consideration, and finally passed. Telegrams are to hand from Gibraltar staling that the steamer Gharjce, bound from London to Australia, ran into and sank the s ! earner Welwyn near Cape St Vincent. The Gharjoe put into Gibraltar to repair damages. All the passengers and crew of the Welwyn were rescued before the vessel went down.
News is to hand of a serious disaster in a mine in Cornwall. Owing to the breaking of a chain a cage fell to the bottom of the shaft, and twelve miners were killed.
A report is current that a rupture has occurred in the relations between Italy and Morocco, and that in consequence thereof the Italian Envoy at Tangiers has lowered the flag at the Embassy in that town.
PARIS, August 14
The Comte de Chambord is reported to be dying, and his medical attendants have given up all hope of his recovery. The Orleanist Princes have been summoned to Frohsdorf, the seat of the Comte de Chambord.
AUSTRALIAN. [REUTER —COPYRIGHT, j MELBOURNE, August 16. The ship, George Roper, which has been ashore at the Heads since July 4th, is showing signs of breaking up, and it is believed that she has parted amidships.
