In consequence of the publication of articles attacking the Government and fomenting sedition, all Republican journals published in this city have been suppressed. August 13. Reports to hand from Catalonia and northern provinces state that the rebellion may now be considered over, the despatch of the loyal troops having had the desired effect. There seems every reason to hope that there will not be any recurrence of the insurrectionary 1 movement. CONSTANTINOPLE, August 13, Intelligence is to hand from Salonica, in Roumelia, on the. Gulf of Salonica, that a large party of brigands yesterday entered the town, and captured the Turkish Governor, whom they carried off into the interior. Steps are being taken to secure the release of the Governor. ALEXANDRIA, August 13. The cordon, which was established round this city to prevent the spread of cholera, has been abolished, as there is now but little fear of the epidemic extending.
