FIRE AT NAPIER.
(per press association) NAPIER, August 14. A fire was discovered early this morning at Nelson’s Meat Preserving Works, Tornoano. A strong gale was blowing, which , kept the flumes from the main buildings, and with a largo staff of hands and plenty’ of water, Abe destruction was confined to the engine house. Estimated damage, £250. The -establishment was insured for £7400 in fourteen different offices.
