CAREY'S ASSASSINATION.
[REUTER —COPYRIGHT.] LONDON, August 1. Great rejoicing took place in Dublin on the receipt of the news of James Carey’s death, and men and women danced round bonfires in celebration. The newspaper offices were thronged with an excited crowd when the news was received, and great enthusiasm was manifested. CAPETOWN, July 31. Some further details have been obtained regarding the murder of James Carey at Port Elizabeth. It is known that he was shot by O’Donnell, in the presence of his family. It is, however, uncertain whether he was tracked from Ireland.
