FIRE AT HAWERA.

A four-roomed house occupied by Mr Denis Healey was burned down on Saturday morning. At 10 o’clock on Friday night a little girl, in a fit, upset the kerosene lamp, which set the furniture in a blaze. The fire was extinguished, as it was thought, but at; .4 o’clock next morning the fire (which,.it is supposed, was lurking in some chaff or behind the lining of the boards) broke out again, destroying everything. The house was insured in the-National for £4O, and in the Union for £75, but the furniture was uninsured.
