Sir Stafford Northcole gave notice that he would move a resolution that the claim of Comte De Lesseps of monopoly for the construction of canals through Egypt be repudiated in any parleying that may take place in future between the British Government and the Suez Canal Company. _ , ■ Telegrams have been received here reporting that a lamentable disaster occurred at Patapico (sic) jetty.
