The request contained about 30 different matters, and Major. Atkinson said it would take a staff of six clerks two years to supply the information. There was a discussion, and a division whether the return should be supplied or not, and it was decided in the negative by 33 to -23. ;--■■■ ' A motion by Mr Bracken, that it was desirable to support local industries, was. talked out till the 5.30 adjournment. EVENING SITTING. The House resumed at 7.30. SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTION BILL. ! Mr Steward moved the third reading, sphicb. was carried on a division by 39 to 10.
