PATEA WEST ROAD BOARD.

. TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Will you kindly oblige me for information concerning the meeting of the Patea West ? Road Board called for Friday the 25th inst. It was called by the secretary, but only 3 members presented themselves; not even the secretary was there. Surely there must be something amiss. Rotten men make rotten work ; , a man that is not to his word is not to his' deed. I have not any more time to Spend.—Yours &c., Thos. Morgan. .May 25 th. [The simple fact is that five members of the Board including the chairman were present at the sale of Mr Hamilton’s goods on Friday, and therefore the secretary saw it would be no use to attend at Kakaramea as there could not be a quorum of the Board.— Ed.]
