COMMERCIAL.

THE MONET MARKET. ■ Messrs Chas Pownall and Co., Scriveners Wellington, report that during the past month, the value of money remains unaltered ill quotation, from 7 to 8 per cent, but the lower term now express'y applies to large transactions only; upon high class landed securities. The supply of outside Capital offering for Mortgage Investment, has become more limited, and combined with an advance of 1 per cent in the English Market, and the Australian Colonies maintaining full rates, there is every possibility, notwithstanding existing moderate demand, of present quotations being fully supported.
