MEETING OF CREDITORS.
JAS. HAMILTON , MANUTAHL At the conclusion of Mr Hamerton’s examination, a few unimportant questions were .asked. Messrs Nolan and JGibson were appointed trustees, to be remunerated at the rate of 5 per cent. Debtor repeated the offer made at Hawera. On the motion of Messrs Drummond and Alexander (Mr Gibson, proxy), seconded by Mr Ritchie, it was resolved, “That unless 20s in the £ be paid to his creditors, or such an offer be made as the trustees consider it advisable to accept, ‘proceedings be taken against the debtor for fraudulent bankruptcy, and that this be an instruction to the trustees to take such action subject to legal advice.” The resolution was carried, on a division, by a large majority. It was decided not to allow the debtor any money for maintenance, Mr Hamerton proposed, and Mr Barker seconded, “ That the debtor be allowed, beyond the
amount allowed by law, any triuklels o> household property belonging to hhwife and children but an amendment was earned, striking out all the words after “ law,” and inserting in lieu thereof the words, “ the tools of his trade and as amended the motion was agreed to. Subsequently, however, it was agreed that on the trustees being satisfied that any article belonged to the wife or children, it should be allowed.
