FRADULENT BANKRUPTCY.

(per press association.) TIMARU, This day. Patrick Ryan, the fradulent bankrupt, found guilty at the March session of the District Court, and whose sentence was deferred consequent on an appeal to the Supreme Court, surrendered to his bail at the District Court to-day. Judge Ward commented severely on the wholesale frauds of which the prisoner had been guilty, and sentenced him to eight months imprisonment with hard labour, from March last, equal to six months.
