ARRIVAL OF THE BRITISH QUEEN.

♦ (per press association. ) WELLINGTON, May 13. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s chartered steamer British Queen, from London, arrived at 3 o’clock this afternoon. The passage occupied fifty days. During the passage measles broke out, and as there were a few mild cases on her arrival here Dr Henry, Health Officer, ordered the steamer into quarantine. She will, it is expected, be admitted to pratique to-morrow morning. The passage was an uneventful one. - This day. The British Queen was admitted to pratique at 2.30 this afternoon.
