(reutkr—copyright.) (Received May 14, 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, May 12. The International Fisheries Exhibition was opened to-day by the Prince of Wales, in the presence of a large concourse of people. The proceedings passed off most successfully. The Australian section of the Exhibition is in a very forward state, and makes a good display. •It lias transpired that Archbishop Croke has made a promise to the Pope that he will conform tP the altitude
which has been adopted by Cardinal McCabe, in connection with the state of affairs in Ireland.
