TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— Mr C. H. McCutcban denies be wanted to borrow £IOO. Can there be more than one C. H. McCutcban ? 0. H. McCutcban summoned me to Hawera to devote Christinas day and the day following to efforts lo save bis life. 0. H. McCutcban paid me less than my usual.fee. I refused to lend £IOO to, or to have anything more to do with C. H. McCutcban, and immediately afterwards 0. H. McCutcban turns informer about an unwittingly omitted stamp. Possibly these C. H. McCutcbans are all different people, and if fo they might be expected to disavow some other of these actions than the borrowing, of which there is no reason to be.asharned. May U. W. f, Ke&OT. '
