[REUTER —COPYRIGHT.] (Received May 2, 9.40 p.tn.) MELBOURNE, May 2. At a meeting of the Victoria Racing Clnb to-day it was decided to add 1000 sots to the Melbourne Cnp, making 1500 sovs added money, and that the winner of the Victorian Derby must carry Tibs penalty for the Melbourne Cnp. ,It was also resolved to withdraw the. Champion Stakes from the programme of the New Year’s Day meeting, and to substitute in its place two races, to be called Bagot Stakes and Standish Plate, the winner of the latter to receive 500 sovs. The race for the Champion Stakes is hereafter to be run at the Antnmn Meeting in March, the addedmoney being, as at present, 1000 sovs for the first horse, and 200 sovs for the second.
