The customary Whitsuntide recess will commence on Friday, the lllb inst, and Parliament will re-assemble on the 21st. . , I James Fitzharris, the cab-driver, who has been identified as having been employed by the Phoenix Park murderers, will be tried for conspiring to murder Lord F. Cavendish and Mr Burke. The trial of Edward McCafferty, one of the alleged four actual assassins, commences at Dublin to-day. (Received May 3, 1 p.m. LONDON, May 2. Tenders for the Tasmanian half million loan were opened to-day, and were found to amount to the exact sum required. The average of tenders is £9B 10s, being 10s above the fixed minimum. Patrick Delaney and Thomas Cafifrey, two of tbe Phcenix Park prisoners, have
confessed to complicity in the murder of Lord Cavendish and Mr Burke, and have been sentenced to death. CAIRO, May 2. Lord Duff Tin lias started from this city for Constantinople, his mission to Egypt having been'completed.
