THE CUSTOMS REVENUE.
[PER PRESS -ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, May 2. The Customs revenue collected at the several, ports in. the colony last month amounted to £121,086 8s 9d, the largest contributors being—Dunedin, £33,035 13s 2d ; Auckland,- £24,467 10s 7d ; Lyttelton and Christchurch, £20.106 8s lOd ; and Wellington, £IB,IBO 15s 4d. For April, 1882, the amount collected was £109,363 13s 3d, of which Dunedin supplied £26,609 9s 5d ; Lyttelton and Christchurch, £21,969 10s 6d ; Auckland, £19,844 10s 2d; and Wellington, £14,752 2a lOd. The beer duty for the colony for the last month : was £5052 Rs Id,, the largest contributors being—Dunedin, £1317 5s lid ; Christchurch, £1054 12s 8d ; Auckland, £997 4s 4d ; while Wellington was only £314 8s 6d. The amount paid for April, 1882, was £5151 15s Id.
